new hangover remedy?

Who Knew???

I made this pair of earrings yesterday and went in search of interesting facts about amethyst before I wrote my 'listing' on Etsy.

I learned this week that for the ancient Greeks and Romans, amethyst was believed to protect against the effects of over drinking! Maybe I should open another shop dedicated to Amethyst and it's interesting powers!

feelin alive at the Six String

Traveled to Raleigh last night to play the Six String Cafe and Music Hall... here' s shot of James K. and me on that wonderful stage. I recommend this venue as a performer or listener - just a fabulous experience.

I always feel more like me when I'm singing.

I'm checking my calender for when I can return!

crossing lines

As well as creating jewelry, I am a songwriter. Yesterday between creating some new rings and earrings (which I have yet to put in my shop) I had a rehearsal with a musician friend who is sitting in with me on djembe and guitar, while I play keys and sing (tonight). I enjoy crossing those two lines in side of myself - creating- then polishing up a different type of creation - then
going back to the previous one.

Tonight I am traveling to Raleigh to play a few songs in the singer/songwriter open mic at the Six String Music Cafe. I can't wait :)

singles getting attention now

I've been making/wearing my own wire wrapped rings for over a year... just didn't feel until recently that they were ready to be added to my shop.

Today, I gathered up my courage and took the plunge - here's a shot from a new listing I added this evening... I hope to get several more up this week.

The really fun part about creating each ring is going through my vast collection of beads or wandering, enthralled through the bead shop and finding the lonely hearts... those without a pair, a mate, a friend or lover, and giving them the attention that they deserve.

So, just for now, all you beads out there that have a mate to balance your position, eat your heart out.

shop updates

I added this bracelet today... and did a lot of photo edits to existing items.

Photos are an area in which I can see that I've improved, yet I am very aware that there remains a learning curve!

I am happily learning new chain maille techniques, and hope to add new items in the coming weeks that incorporate my new skills :)
Have a happy weekend and a blessed Easter.
